Quarterly Meeting - Oct 6th

This meeting will also include a 100-club draw. If you are not a member of the 100-club, take a look at the item further down this page.

Association Outing - Sept 1st

This year's outing was by tram around five towers in Birmingham and the West Midlands. After parking at the Hawthorns we took the tram to Bilston where we rang on the eight bells. It was then a return ride to Birmingham to ring at three towers and enjoy a picnic lunch.

We took our final tram ride back to the Hawthorns, dodged the football traffic (West Brom were playing Stoke!) and drove to Darlaston for the final ring of the day.

Our thanks to Lisa and Nigel Horritt for organising the day.

Programme Review

Have you any views or ideas on what we should include in our 2019/20 programme?   New types of event, places to visit, new formats?
Whatever your idea, the committee would love to hear from you.

Please email any ideas or suggestions to our secretary, Jan Hine by September so the committee can include them in their discusions of next year's programme.

Ringing Remembers

To commemorate the 1400 bell ringers who died in the First World War, the Central Council of Church Bell Ringers are involved in a new campaign to recruit 1400 new bell ringers.

To find out more, please take a look at their web page: View More..

Learning to Ring

Have you ever considered learning to ring? Not sure where to start?

Take a look at our towers page to find somewhere close to you and just call in on a Sunday or practice night. Or go to the officers page and drop an email to our secretary for further information.

100 Club

The Association runs a '100 Club' to raise funds for the Bell Restoration Fund. The way it works is that members pay a subsciption of £12 and are entered in 5 draws in the year. There will be four prize draws, usually at business meetings, and one Superdraw at the Association's AGM. If fully subscribed the first prize will be £50 at the prize draws and £100 at the super draw.

So if you would like a flutter in aid of a good cause, please contact our 100 Club organiser, Chris Adams.

Safeguarding of children and young people is an important issue both at a tower and an association level. The Association has therefore appointed a Safeguarding Co-ordinator, produced guidelines for tower captains, and policies and procedures for association events.

Copies of the documents can be found on our Publications page. They can also be obtained from our Safeguarding Co-ordinator, Ros Daybell.

Tower Contact telephone numbers: Contact telephone numbers are now shown on our tower pages. The information is protected from web crawlers and has been in place for over a year without any problems. However, if you would prefer your number not to appear on the website, please email the webmaster.
