Reg Proctor

We regret to announce the death of Reg proctor of Audley in hospital on Wednesday 6th December aged 86. Many will remember Reg as tower captain at Audley St James.

The funeral will be at Audley on Thursday 21st December at 10am, with ringing before the service, starting at 9.15am, and also some ringing afterwards.

Our Next Meeting

Our post-Christmas meeting, and the first of 2018, will take place at Madeley on Sat 6th January. Ringing is afternoon only from 2 to 4pm.

Some people are meeting for lunch at The Sneyd Arms in Keele before the ringing. Booking will probably not be needed but see the events page for more details.

2017 AGM

This year's AGM took place on 2nd December at Leek. Over 30 ringers enjoyed the excellent ring of ten followed up by a sumptuous ringers' tea.

The structure of the committee has changed this year, and with several long-term members standing down this year the committee has a fresh look. See the officers page for the details.

Our thanks to the Leek ringers for hosting the meeting and providing the tea.

Safeguarding of children and young people is an important issue both at a tower and an association level. The Association has therefore appointed a Safeguarding Co-ordinator, produced guidelines for tower captains, and policies and procedures for association events.

Copies of the documents can be found on our Publications page. They can also be obtained from our Safeguarding Co-ordinator, Ros Daybell.

100 Club

The Association is running a '100 Club' to raise funds for the Bell Restoration Fund. The way it works is that members pay a subsciption of £12 and are entered in 5 draws in the year. There will be four prize draws, usually at business meetings, and one Superdraw at the Association's AGM. If fully subscribed the first prize will be £50 at the prize draws and £100 at the super draw.

So if you would like a flutter in aid of a good cause, please contact our 100 Club organiser, Chris Adams.

Special Methods

Many of our monthly meetings have special methods. Our events pages show the names of the special methods and also have a link to the method diagrams. Diagrams can be both viewed and printed, so now it is easy to look them up ready for the next meeting.
