About Us
We are a group of about 400 bell ringers in North Staffordshire who meet to ring and socialise together.We give support and training throughout the area, promote bell ringing and provide bell ringing advice.
Due to the current Coronavirus situation, ringing is currently very limited. However, if you would like to find out more about bell ringing please .

National Bodies

The Central Council of Church Bell Ringers is the representative body for bellringers worldwide. Founded in 1891, the Council today represents 65 affiliated societies including our Association.

The Association of Ringing Teachers (ART) provides training, support and motivation for ringing teachers. It also provides a progresive learning scheme for new ringers. They have an extensive website with many useful resources.

Remembering HRH The Prince Philip

The Cabinet Office has declared 8 days of official mourning, during which time any other ringing should be half-muffled and in accordance with current Covid-19 restrictions. Half-muffled tolling or chiming of a single bell is recommended on the day of the funeral.

Covid19 Restrictions

- March 29th - Handbell ringing outside with up to 6 people (confirmed)
- About May 17th - Tower bell ringing with up to 6 people subject to social distancing rules
- About June 21st - All legal restrictions removed (may still need to wear face masks)

Online Ringing Practices

Clapper Refurbishment

This workshop has now closed, but Graham Barnes who worked there now works at Huntaway Engineering Ltd, and he will be able to continue with clapper work.

BRF - Raising funds while you shop

100 Club

There are four prize draws, usually at business meetings, and one Superdraw at the Association's AGM. If fully subscribed the first prize will be £50 at the prize draws and £100 at the super draw.
